}}'''Animal Center''' is a [[shop]] located in the [[southeastern section]] of the [[map]], below [[Cid's Shop]]. The shop is owned by [[Daisy]] and sells farm [[animal]]s.

==Exterior and interior==
The store is a dark gray building with round windows, red roof, and a sign depicting a yellow chicken above the door. The gated area immediately below the entrance contains a barn with four animals and three round stones. The employees only gate can be opened with a [[Community Gate Key]] or a [[Master Key]], giving the player the opportunity to pet and feed the animals and place [[pixie]]s on round stones to get [[strange stone]]s.

Inside the store there are locked inaccessible animal pens, shopping terminals, Daisy's counter, and a fireplace. Information posters with [[Spinning Wheel]] and [[Churner]] recipes are found behind the counter. [[Pigeon Friend]] also appears to wander inside the center after the player completes ''[[Pigeon in Need]]''; the pigeon can be fed and eventually adopted as a [[pet]].

A counter with a [[Teleport Stone]] and one [[Prize Key]] Cabinet are also inside the store.

===Items===
[[Animal Food Card]] is available for purchase for one Yellow Prize Key in the cabinet to the right of the entrance. If purchased, the card will not be restocked until next Summer 1, and its price will increase by one Prize Key when it restocks. The card can be fed to any animal the player owns to change their favorite food.

[[Teleport Stone]]s are sold in the Animal Center as well. Up to three of these stones can be placed anywhere on the [[map]] and teleported to by the player's [[Pet]]. Only one Teleport Stone can be purchased per day; the stone will restock the next day. The price of Teleport Stones increases based on how many the player has purchased before.

===Animals===
Animal Center has six random farm [[animal]]s for the player to purchase: three coop and three barn animals. Only the most common breeds of animals will appear for sale in the center: [[White Chicken|White]] and [[Yellow Chicken]]s, [[Purple Goose|Purple]] and [[Teal Goose|Teal Geese]], regular [[Cow]]s, [[Spudge]]s, and rainbow [[Ponya]]s. The stock refreshes every five days: on Day 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 of a [[season]]. The player can reload the day of the stock refresh to change the selection.

The animals will physically show up in the pens inside Animal Center and in the fenced area outside. The animals in the pen outside can be interacted with once the player opens the gate with a [[Community Gate Key]] or the [[Master Key]]. Cows can be milked with an [[Empty Bottle]] and adult alpacas will shed their coat; all animals can be fed their favorite food and will drop a product if they are 15 or more days old.

Animals can be purchased at the left terminal on Daisy's desk; the right terminal allows the player to mark one animal to hold it at the center indefinitely until the player is ready to purchase it.

Every animal in the center has randomly determined breed, name, age, happiness, and favorite food. 
*Three coop and three barn animals appear in the store for every restock.
**For every coop animal, there is a 62.07% chance for it to be a chicken (yellow or white), 27.59% chance for a goose (purple or teal), and 10.34% for a spudge.
**For every barn animal, there is a 52.63% chance for a cow, 42.11% for an alpaca (blue or white), and 5.26% for a ponya.
*Age is randomly chosen in the range from 1 to 20. An animal 14 days or younger is considered a baby and will not produce until it reaches 15 days in age. The animals do not age while they are in the center.
*Happiness is randomly chosen between 0 to 100.
*Name and favorite food are also chosen at random.

The sell price is then determined for each individual animal based on the following formula: <code>(Random number in x to y range + Age * x / 100 + Happiness * 10) + 50</code>. The number is then rounded down to hundreds. Both <code>x</code> and <code>y</code> values are based on the animal type, with rarer animals being more expensive than more common ones. Older and happier animals are also more expensive than younger and unhappier ones. There is an extra 0.25% chance for every animal to be sold with a very heavy discount, too.
