Help a fun guy named Calvin obtain fungi through fishing. Fetch the Mushroom just behind the Town Aquarium using your Fishing Rod and give it to Calvin.

Fishing for a Fun Guy is a singular side quest in Everafter Falls. The quest is received upon waking up on the first day. The quest serves as a brief tutorial on how to use a fishing rod for collecting items.

To begin the quest, the player must speak with Calvin. Calvin will explain that he is a fisherman but unfortunately cannot spare a rod to the player, instead offering them some Rope to craft one. The player can use the rope and ten pieces of wood to craft a Dinky Fishing Rod.

Calvin also explains that the player can use their rod to grab items out of their reach. He references a mushroom on a stump behind the Aquarium in the Aquarium Plaza. The player must use their fishing rod to grab the mushroom from off the tree stump. Once they have the mushroom, they must return to Calvin and speak with him. He will congratulate the player as well as offer them a choice between an Orange Fishing Mod, Green Fishing Mod, or [[[Yellow Fishing Mod]].

The quest is completed after the player chooses their reward.

Trivia

• The Caramel Fan Shroom the player grabs off of the tree stump can not be turned into the Museum or sold, but could in previous patches of the game. This could cause players to not be able to finish the quest until finding a new Caramel Fan Shroom.
