Animals are creatures the player can raise on their farm inside farm buildings. The products produced by animals can be sold, processed in various machines, used for cooking, or donated to the Museum.

The player starts the game with an empty Small Coop on their farm, and other buildings to house animals can be purchased at Aamy's Project Workbench. Animals to raise in these buildings can be purchased at Animal Center or hatched in an Incubator. Rare animal breeds are obtained from other endgame sources.

Animal care

All animals are placed into the inventory in their suspended form and can be assigned to a nest inside a coop or a barn and picked back up into the inventory by long pressing cancel button next to their nest. Once an animal is assigned a nest, it appears next to the nest and starts moving inside the building. The player can view all animals in the building by interacting with the poster inside. The poster shows the names and types of animals, their age in game days, mood, and favorite food.

If the door of the building the animals are in is open, they will go outside in the morning and return back inside in the evening. The animals that are let outside will get a happiness bonus; Chickens, Geese, Spudges, and Ponyas will also drop their products on the ground.

Farm animals do not need to be fed and will never get sick or die.

Mood

An animal's mood is based on its happiness (on a scale from 0 to 100) and can be increased in a variety of ways. Mood is only relevant to the animals that lay their produce of the ground (Chickens, Geese, Spudges, and Ponyas): these animals would not produce their daily item until their happiness reaches 60 and their mood is green; however, they will still drop produce when fed their favorite food. Alpacas and Cows will produce regardless of how happy they are.

Mood Happiness

0–19
20–39
40–59
60–79
80–100

Happiness can be increased by petting an animal (+10 points) or feeding their favorite food (+25 points). Animal happiness does not decay over time.

Age

Every animal has their age in days listed on the information poster inside the building they are in. An animal is considered a baby for the first 14 days of its life and will only produce starting from day 15 of its life; for most animals except Ponyas, their appearance also changes to adult.

Animals will never die of old age.

An animal will not age if it is kept in the inventory or storage in its suspended form.
