Machine

Machines are placeable items that can be loaded with raw or processed materials to produce a variety of items over time. The items produced by machines can be used for crafting and building, used for upgrading tools, donated to the Museum, or simply sold for money.
Basics
Most machines are crafted via Crafting list in the Main menu, some of them can also be obtained for points during festivals or from treasure chests in the dungeons. Several machines are obtained only from these other sources.
Machines can be placed on the ground or on the floor anywhere on the player's farm or outside of it and inside the house. Once a machine is placed, it can be loaded with materials by placing the material in hand and interacting with the machine to start producing. Each machine will only accept specific materials; the recipe lists for all machines can be found inside the shops around town or placed on an Information Signpost by holding a machine in hand and interacting with it. A machine can only be loaded with enough materials to produce one item at a time; when the item is ready, it is displayed in a bubble above the machine and can be picked up, and the machine can be loaded with materials for another item again.
Some machines consume fuel (usually Coal or Empty Bottles) in addition to the materials required by their recipes. The need for using Coal can be eliminated by placing a Solar Panel on the machine that requires it.
Placed machines can be picked up by holding the pick up button. Any pixie bound to the machine that is being picked up need to be put in a Pixie Bottle first, otherwise the pixie will be lost.
Pixies
Red or Rainbow Pixies can be placed on machines to increase their output. The player can place one pixie on each machine, pixies can only be placed or removed while a machine is idle. Pixies placed on machines count towards the player's bound pixies total.
A machine that has a pixie bound to it will produce twice or thrice its usual output for red and rainbow pixies respectively. Pixies have no effect on the production time.

Machine attachments
The machines that use Coal as fuel (namely Furnace, Glass Maker, and Evaporator) can be equipped with a Solar Panel to eliminate the need for Coal and reduce their production time by half. The panel is not attached permanently and can be removed from the machine later by holding the pick up button.
Glass Maker can also be placed next to a Bottle Attachment - an attachment unique to this machine that modifies its output to produce bottles instead of glass panels.
