Snow Fest is an annual festival that is held on Winter 11 in the northeastern section of the map. During the festival the player can earn festival tickets by participating in minigames and trade the tickets they earned for a variety of useful items by talking with Freya. The player can also collect the Bottles of Snow hidden on the festival grounds by Cid and exchange them for items.
Festival day and participants
The day before the event, on Winter 10 the player will get a letter from Freya who organizes the annual festival and invites them to attend. The festival can be started by talking to Dog who will be waiting next to Tree House from early morning to 2pm. Once the player speaks with Dog and tells him they are ready to start, the map section is transformed into the festival grounds with several stalls set up for the player to play minigames and earn tickets at. Time will be paused during the festival and will not resume until the player talks to Dog and agrees to end the event.
Edgar, Calvin, and Pepper are next to their stalls and can be spoken with to start minigames. Fin, Cedric, Pete, Pip, and Hersha are attending the festival. Bram can be found hiding near his workshop. Cid does not have a stall set up but can be spoken with to exchange the Bottles of Snow the player has collected for items.
Zorpians will also attend the festival if their ship is in the Landing Zone on the day of the event and will share their impressions of it if spoken to. Additionally, Zephyr will give the the player 640 tickets they have earned in one of the festival games.
Minigames
Most minigames cost a small fee to play and reward the player with tickets depending on how they did at the game and how fast they were. The player can participate as many times as they would like as long as they have enough gold or tickets.
The tickets earned in the minigames can be exchanged for items by talking to Freya or saved for the next year's festival.

Snow Race
Snow Race is run by Pepper and costs tickets to play. The player can bet any (or all) tickets they have earned on Pip or a Snowpal and then watch the two race to a cake. If the player's bet wins, they get twice the tickets they have put in; if the player's bet loses, all tickets they have put in are lost, too.
Pip is the better option to bet on because he will win the race 75% of the time. If the player speaks to Pip during the festival, he will admit it is because he rigged Pepper's minigame.
Ticket exchange
The tickets can be spent by talking to Freya. The items can be redeemed only once per festival. Any items the player trades for will be sent to their mailbox two hours after the event ends.

Bottles of Snow
Ten Bottles of Snow are hidden in randomly chosen locations on the festival section of the map and can be picked up by interacting with them. A counter in the top part of the screen shows how many bottles the player has collected. The bottles can be exchanged for items by talking to Cid; any items the player trades for will be sent to their mailbox two hours after the event ends.
Unspent Bottles of Snow are saved and can be spent next year. Any bottles that are still on the ground when the event ends will be lost.
