Mineral

From Everafter Falls Wiki

Minerals are resources that can be obtained by mining or opening strange stones. Some minerals, like ores or quartz, are widely used for crafting and machine processing, others can only be donated to the Museum as part of its mineral collections or sold.

Regular minerals

Most regular minerals drop from breaking strange stones that are obtained by mining round rocks or putting pixies on them. All minerals in the game can be obtained from breaking strange stones, regardless of their rarity and type. The chance to get a mineral (any mineral as opposed to drops of other types, like keys or shells) varies from stone to stone:

Ores and metal bars can drop from strange stones, too; however, they are much more commonly obtainable from mining ore rocks and deposits and then processing raw ore in a Furnace or an Alchemy Machine. Everite, an ultra rare mineral, can also be smelted in a Giant Furnace at Bram's from Iron Bars and Fire Essence.

Shard and sphere minerals

Shards are a small distinct group of minerals that do not drop from strange stones and can only be obtained by mining special shard rocks or putting pixies on them. Shard rocks are primarily found in dungeons; several shard rock are also found in town: one behind Daisy's house, two in the gated area near the Tree of Seasons, and another two in the northern tunnel. A shard rock has an equal chance of dropping a shard of any type.

Shards the player collects can be smelted into spheres in the Giant Furnace (16 shards, one Fire Essence, and 3,000 for a sphere) or donated to the Museum as part of its Shards and Spheres collection. The player can also use an Alchemy Machine to convert shards into other types.
