Critter Terrarium is a machine that can be used to breed and hatch a variety of critters. Epic Critter Terrarium, an updated version of the Critter Terrarium, can also be used to breed critters and will always hatch critters not yet donated to the Museum.

Obtaining

Critter Terrarium can be crafted via the Crafting menu using the following:

A Critter Terrarium can be exchanged for 60 Points with Cedric during Virtual Falls Critter Catching Event held on Autumn 15.

A Critter Terrarium for public use is available inside the Museum. That terrarium cannot be picked up but is free to use for breeding and hatching critters.

Use

Breeding

Two frogs, dragonflies, or flutterflies of the same size can be placed into a Critter Terrarium to produce Tadpoles, Dragonfly Nymphs, or Cocoons. The time critters take to breed varies based on their size: 2 days for tiny, 5 days for mid-sized, and 6 days for giant.

When a Tadpole, Nymph, or Cocoon are ready, a red exclamation mark indicator appears on the terrarium. The product can be picked up to resume production by holding the pick up button.

Hatching

A tadpole, nymph, caterpillar, or cocoon can be placed in a Critter Terrarium and will hatch a frog, dragonfly, or flutterfly respectively after a certain number of days. The time required for an item to hatch depends on its size and type, with larger tadpoles, nymphs, and caterpillars taking more time.
