Pigeons are bright colored bird critters that are found all over Everafter Falls. Pigeons get scared easily and will fly away when approached, except the ones that are too stressed to fly. The player can run into a flock of pigeons, scaring them away, and then catch any flightless pigeons with their Bug Net and bring them to Pip at Penguin Post to rehabilitate them. Ten days later Pip will send the player a thank you letter for saving each pigeon with a special reward attached. The rarer the pigeon was, the more valuable that reward usually is.

Daisy's quest Pigeon in Need provides an in-game introduction to the pigeon catching mechanic.

Spawning

Every morning, a number of pigeon flocks will spawn across main map sections of Everafter Falls; that number is randomly chosen between one and six (eight if the player has Pigeon Ally blessing from the Pixie Guardian). Each cluster has four to seven birds of random color in it.

The chance for a pigeon to be unable to fly is 2% and can only be increased to 6% by picking the Pigeon Ally blessing. The player's Luck does not affect the pigeon spawns or their chance to be flightless.

Rewards

A pigeon's color determines its rarity and the reward it gives when handed to Pip. The possible pigeon colors and rewards are listed in the table below, from most common to least common.

Pigeon color Spawn
chance
Reward
Dark Blue
28.71% Seed packets (5)
Green
28.71% Seed packets (5)
Red
28.71% Seed packets (5)
Sky Blue
4.78% Treasure chest (1)
Yellow
4.78% Treasure chest (1)
Pink
2.87% Tree sapling (1)
White
0.96% Suspended animal (1)
Black
0.48% Legendary equipment (1)

The reward will arrive to the player's mailbox ten days after the player hands the pigeon to Pip. The contents of each letter are rolled for the moment the player picks them up from the mailbox, making it possible to reroll the reward by leaving the reward letters in the mailbox overnight, saving the game and only getting the letters out of mailbox in the morning to check their contents and reroll if necessary.
