Ion Sphere is a sphere mineral that can be obtained by refining Ion Shards.
Ion Sphere can be smelted in the Giant Furnace using the following:
Ion Shard (16)
Fire Essence (1)
Smelting one Ion Sphere costs 3,000 
and takes a day.
Uses
Ion Sphere can be donated to the Museum as part of its Shards and Spheres collection.
Three Ion Spheres are required to add the fourth orb slot to an equipment item using an Orb Slot Creator at the Blacksmith.
Ion Sphere is required to complete The Cursed Sacred Tree Rune and The Fusion Core quests.
