A Lotus Bud will grow on a Lotus Pad five days after it sprouts or after its flower or pod is harvested. A Lotus Bud can be harvested with any fishing rod or left alone to bloom into a lotus flower after five more days.
Giant Lotus Bud, a variety of Lotus Bud, will form when nine lotuses of the same color are planted on a 3x3 square area. Giant Lotus Bud will go through the same stages as a regular Lotus Bud if left unharvested.

Lotus Bud and Giant Lotus Buds can be sold or donated to the Museum as part of its Water Plants and Giant Water Plants collections.
