Orb Tree
Orb Tree is a tree that grows in the wild and can be planted on the player's farm. Orb Trees can be tapped to get valuable Orb Tree Sap and harvested for Dark Wood. Unlike other tappable trees, Orb Tree will also produce fruit.
Two Orb Trees can be find behind the community gates around the town: one in the northwestern section next to the exit to Aquarium Plaza and another in the southeastern section east of Cid's Shop.
Farming
One Orb Tree sapling per year can can be purchased at Freya's for one Yellow Prize Key; the saplings can also be purchased in the Plant Catalogue in unlimited quantities for 300 
each. Orb Tree saplings can also be rarely obtained as a reward for handing in pink pigeons to Pip. One Orb Tree sapling can drop from cutting a large stump blocking the entrance into the Pixie Caves.
An Orb Tree Sapling can be planted in untilled soil on the player's farm, inside a Greenhouse, or most other map locations. The sapling will grow into a mature tree in 30 days. For the tree to fully mature, its eight surrounding squares have to be kept empty of other trees; if a tree seed or a sapling is planted close to another tree, it will not grow past the sapling stage.
A fully mature Orb Tree can be tapped. The tree will also produce one Orb Fruit every twenty nine days all year round. The fruit can be harvested by shaking the tree, using a Yummyberry Juice, or casting a fishing rod.

Products
A Orb Tree can be cut down with an axe to get Dark Wood, with the amount of wood dropped depending on its growth stage. Additionally, a fully grown Orb Tree will drop one Orb Fruit when it is cut. Orb Tree stumps are the only stumps that can grow a rare Dragonscale Shroom (2% for each stump every morning).
Sap
A fully grown Orb Tree can be tapped to get Orb Tree Sap:

The sap can then be processed into Orb Syrup in an Evaporator.
Fruit
A mature Orb Tree produces one Orb Fruit every 29 days. Unlike other tree fruit, Orb Fruit cannot be donated to the Museum or processed in any machines and can only be sold for 333 each.
Version history
