Tapping
Tapping is the process of extracting raw tree sap from fully grown trees. The extracted sap can then be donated to the Museum or processed into sap syrups or essences and used for crafting valuable items.
Tappers
Tapping Kits can be crafted via the Main menu. Basic Tapping Kits are used with Box, Pine, and Maple Trees that are the most common. Delicate Tapping Kits are more expensive to craft and are used on rarer trees that have more valuable sap: Puffle, Water, Fire , Cherry Blossom, and Orb Tree.
A Tapping Kit can only be placed on a fully grown tree. Once placed, the kit starts collecting sap automatically. Once enough sap is collected, a bubble with an icon appears above the tapping kit, and the player can collect that sap by interacting with it. Collecting sap restarts the production cycle, and an individual tree can be tapped indefinitely until the player removes the kit. A Tapping Kit can be removed from a tree by holding the pick up button.
Two portions of raw tree sap can be refined into a syrup or essence using an Evaporator.

Pixies
Tapping speed can be greatly increased with pixies. The player can put any of their currently bound pixies (or any pixie freshly attracted in a Pixie Shrine) by holding a Tapping Kit or a Delicate Tapping Kit in their hand and pressing the pick up button. The pixie put into the kit cannot be taken out and does not count towards the player's bounded pixie limit.
A blue, red, or green pixie put into a Tapping Kit reduces the time required to collect sap by half, and a rainbow pixie in a Tapping Kit increases its efficiency by 5 times, reducing the time to collect sap to 50% and 20% of the original respectively.

Processed tree sap
Most raw tree sap is processed in an Evaporator, except Box and Pine Resins that can be combined into Super Glue in the Crafting menu instead.
