A Promise Kept
A Promise Kept is a singular side quest in Everafter Falls. The quest is obtained after the player keeps there promise and delivers Maple Syrup to Tobias. He will tell the player that he cannot believe they remembered and that he feels somewhat ashamed at believing they would not keep their promise. He will continue, telling the player he had something to show them but cannot seem to remember at that moment and will reach out when he remembers. The following day the player will receive a letter in the mail from Tobias saying he remembered what he wanted to show the player and they should speak with him.
Once the player speaks to him, he will give them a Delicate Tapping Kit explaining it can gather saps from more exotic trees. He also explains that the efficiency of any tapper can be improved by housing a Pixie within them. He tells the player to try it for themselves stating he noticed a green pixie on the dark wood tree next to Dawn's House. Furthermore he will explain that to house a pixie in a tapper they must approach on and tap the Cancel button. He concludes by telling the player to return to him Once they have acquired a tapping kit housing a pixie. Once dialogue concludes the quest is officially begun and appears in the quest log.
The player must now house the pixie in the delicate tapper given to them by Tobias by pressing the cancel button on it with the tapper in hand. A prompt will ask the player if they would like to proceed, as doing so permanently houses the pixie within the tap. Hitting yes will give the player the Delicate Green Pixie Tapping Kit needed, and they must return to Tobias to show him.
When the player speaks to Tobias with the tap he will be happy to see they accomplished his task. He proceeds to give the player information about adding pixies to tappers including the fact that any color pixie can be housed and that they halve the time to extract sap. He also mentions that Rainbow Pixies will make them 5x as efficient. He will finish by saying he has one more thing to give the player telling them he works at the museum and has admin privileges allowing him to grant them a free museum credit which they can spend on the museum terminals for rewards. The quest is completed once dialogue with Tobias is concluded
