Lotus Pod is a part of a lotus plant that can be foraged from the lotus plants in the wild or grown in any water body.
Growing lotuses
- Main article: Lotus
A Lotus Pod will grow in place of any lotus flower if it is left unharvested for five days. A Lotus Pod can be harvested with any fishing rod; if left unharvested, it will last indefinitely.
Harvested Lotus Pods can be put into an active inventory slot and thrown into any body of water where they will sprout a Lotus Pad in four days (one day if the player is wearing Lotus Luminescence when throwing the pod in). If left alone, the lotus will grow a flower of a random color; the color of the flower is chosen randomly the morning the underwater pod turns into lotus pad.
Giant Lotus Pod, a variety of Lotus Pod, will form when nine lotuses of the same color are planted on a 3x3 square area. Giant Lotus will go through the same stages as a regular Lotus and eventually will form a pod. That pod can be harvested but cannot be thrown back into water to grow another Giant Lotus; to grow more giant lotuses, the player has to go through the process of planting nine lotuses of the same color again.
Uses
Lotus Pod and Giant Lotus Pods can be sold or donated to the Museum as part of its Water Plants and Giant Water Plants collections.
Both Lotus Pod and Giant Lotus Pod can appear as an animal's favorite food.
