Avocado is a tree fruit that can be grown on an Avocado Tree planted at the farm. Avocado Tree saplings will rarely appear for sale at Freya's during autumn. Avocado saplings can also be randomly obtained by bringing pink pigeons to Pip.
One Avocado tree is located in a gated area in the northeastern section of the town. The tree will fruit during summer and spring and can be harvested once the player opens the community gate or with a Yummyberry Juice or a fishing rod.
Farming
An Avocado sapling can be planted outside or inside a Greenhouse and takes 14 days to grow into a fully mature Avocado tree. For the tree to fully mature, its eight surrounding squares have to be kept empty of other trees; if a tree seed or a sapling is planted close to another tree, it will not grow past the sapling stage. The tree will grow during any season.
A fully mature Avocado tree will produce one Avocado every five days during spring and summer (or all year round if planted inside a Greenhouse). The fruit can be harvested by shaking the tree, using a Yummyberry Juice, or casting a fishing rod.
| Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Mature | Fruit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 days | 6 days | 6 days | Total: 14 days | 5 days to fruit |
An Avocado Tree will drop Wood when cut down with an axe, with the amount of wood depending on its current growth stage.
Uses
Harvested Avocados can be sold or cooked and processed into other products. One Avocado can be donated to the Museum as part of its Tree Fruits collection.
