Pete continues to explain that at the time he thought it was a great deal, but after tasting the cards he realized they tasted like “Sh…….Shoes”. Repulsed by the cards, he offered to return them to Cid despite starving, but Cid would not accept the return. Finally Pete tells the player that he does not want to cut grass for nothing so instead he asks the player to do it for him in exchange for one of the cards. Grass Cutting is a singular side quest in Everafter Falls. The quest is obtained on the 25th day of Summer in year 1. To begin the quest the player must speak with Pete.
Pete will tell the player that he needs a quick favor from them and explains that a while back Cid gave him some cards to eat as he was very hungry. He couldn't pay For the cards at the time but Cid said as payback, Pete could cut the grass in the yard behind Cid's House.
