The Fusion Core is a singular side quest in Everafter Falls. The quest is given by Cedric and becomes available on Winter 7 of the first game year.
Cedric says his power source is running low and asks the player to get him a new power source: an Ion Sphere. It can be smelted in the Giant Furnace using 16 Ion Shards and a Fire Essence. Ion Shards are randomly dropped from mining special shard rocks with a pickaxe or by harvesting shard rocks with blue or rainbow pixies.
The quest ends when the played hands Cedric the Ion Sphere. Cedric is overjoyed and gifts the player a unique Cedric Plushie.
