Maple Tree is a tree that grows in the wild and can be planted on the player's Farm. Maple Trees can be harvested for wood or tapped to get Maple Sap.
Planting
Maple Tree seeds can be obtained by cutting down fully grown Maple Trees (50%). A Maple Tree Seed also has a small chance to drop from cutting a grass clump with a sword. Maple Tree saplings can be grown from seeds or picked up when they randomly spawn in the wild. Maple Tree saplings can also be purchased in the Plant Catalogue for 300
.
A Maple Tree Seed or a Maple Tree Sapling can be planted in untilled soil on the player's farm, inside a Greenhouse, or most other map locations. A seed or a sapling will grow into a mature tree in 12 or 11 days respectively. For the tree to fully mature, its eight surrounding squares have to be kept empty of other trees; if a tree seed or a sapling is planted close to another tree, it will not grow past the sapling stage.
| Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Mature |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 days | 4 days | 4 days | Total: 11 days |
The leaves of a Maple Tree will change color depending on the current season, and a Maple Tree will lose its leaves during winter.
Products
A Maple Tree can be cut down with an axe to get wood, with the amount of wood dropped depending on its growth stage. Additionally, a fully grown Maple Tree has a 50% chance to drop one Maple Tree Seed when it is cut.
A fully grown Maple Tree can be tapped to get Maple Sap:
