Soot Grower is a special machine that will spawn Soot Puffs or increase the size of any Soot Puff placed in it overnight.
Obtaining
Soot Grower can be purchased at the Museum Credit Exchange for one Museum credit or exchanged with Cid for four Bottles of Snow during the Snow Fest on Winter 11.
Obtaining a Soot Grower unlocks its crafting recipe:
Empty Quartz Bottle (1)
Obelite Stone (2)
White Wood (20)
Use
An empty Soot Grower has a 50% chance to spawn a size 1 Soot Puff in it overnight. The new Soot Puff can be picked up or left in the grower to increase its size.
Soot Grower can also be used to increase the size of a Soot Puff the player has caught in the wild. The Soot Puff needs to be taken in hand and placed into a Soot Grower on the farm by interacting with it; a Soot Grower with a puff in it can be interacted with to take that puff out.
