Soot Grower is a special machine that will increase the size of any Soot Puff placed in it overnight. Soot Grower can be purchased at the Museum Credit Exchange for one Museum credit or exchanged with Cid for four Bottles of Snow during the Snow Fest on Winter 11.

Use

Soot Grower cannot produce Soot Puffs by itself and can only be used to increase the size of a Soot Puff the player has caught in the wild. The Soot Puff needs to be taken in hand and placed into a Soot Grower on the farm by interacting with it; a Soot Grower with a puff in it can be interacted with to take that puff out.

If a Soot Puff stays inside a Soot Grower overnight, the puff will increase in size by 1 the following morning. A pixie can be placed onto the Soot Grower to further increase the puff's growth rate: its size will increase by 2 with a red pixie and by 3 with a rainbow pixie placed on it.

Unlike most other machines, Soot Grower can be dyed with ink.
